Arrival You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
  • Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Your driver guide will collect you from your hotel or the airport at 7:00 am, heading towards the city center. There, you'll have the chance to purchase any snacks or personal items you require for the journey. Departure for Masai Mara is scheduled for 8:00 am, including a stopover at the renowned Great Rift Valley and Narok town along the way. Masai Mara remains one of the last bastions where wildlife thrives relatively undisturbed, echoing the numbers that once roamed Africa's plains and forests. Serving as the northern frontier of the expansive Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara witnesses the awe-inspiring seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and their accompanying predators. Upon arrival in the afternoon, you'll check in at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, enjoying lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Your meals and overnight accommodation will be provided at the lodge.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve  Following breakfast, we'll embark on a full-day game drive, complete with a packed lunch. The reserve is renowned for its black-manned lions and abundant resident wildlife. It's a rare gem where encountering the Big Five during a morning game drive is entirely feasible. Remarkably, many cheetahs are so accustomed to human presence that they seek refuge from the sun beneath vehicles, and some even climb onto the roofs for a better vantage point of potential prey. The Mara plays host to the breathtaking seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and their accompanying predators. For avid birdwatchers, the reserve boasts nearly 500 recorded species, including 16 types of eagle, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 varieties of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 types of bustards (including the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most famous parks and it’s undoubtedly one of the continent’s best places to see animals. The wildlife viewing is superb throughout the year. The grassy plains and regular rainfall support a huge population of herbivores, in turn attracting many predators. All three big cats are relatively easy to see. The yearly wildebeest migration coming through the park is one of the world’s most amazing wildlife spectacles.
